A.M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College celebrates World Environment Day

A.M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College, Nehru Nagar, Belagavi, celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 by organizing an environmental awareness programme and a plantation drive.

The programme was conducted to create awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. Students of Shaikh Central School participated in the awareness session and learned about simple ways to care for nature, conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and keep the environment clean and green.

As part of the celebration, NSS volunteers, faculty members, and staff actively took part in a plantation drive on the Shaikh campus. Several saplings were planted to promote greenery and encourage environmental responsibility among students and staff.

The event was organized by the Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy with the support of the college management and the Forest Department. The programme highlighted the importance of collective efforts in protecting Mother Nature and building a sustainable future for coming generations.

The college remains committed to conducting such activities that promote environmental awareness and inspire students to contribute towards a cleaner and greener world.
